Feature Request - Accessing Specific Vaults via Command
Context
The ability to access a specific vault with "/g vault #", for instance, "/g vault 1", to open the first vault, would be handy as a "shortcut" to access that particular vault, rather than typing "/g vault" then clicking on that vault.
It would allow users to quickly access a vault just by specifying their number in the command, if they tend to access that vault a lot.
Possible Implementation
Possibly via "/g vault
Just saw this issue was still open. This has been implemented via an admin command for quite some time now. Will that suffice?
Hi,
Sorry for the extremely late reply, sort of was away from everything minecraft-related for the whole of 2021 (pandemic stuff).
Unfortunately, it does not quite exactly suffice, since giving players the permission guilds.command.admin wouldn't exactly be an option, since it would allow them to "Open any guild's vault".
The feature idea was to allow players to open any vault of the guild they are part of, rather.
Most players are used to having the ability to access a certain page/chest/vault, such as in the case of PlayerVaultsX where you can open a specific vault directly by just appending the number behind.
Whereas with Guilds they get confused when they add a number to the command, only for it to behave entirely different to what they expect and have been conditioned to over the years.
You can just issue the command /guilds vault and they will be able to choose the vault of the guild through the GUI. if you trying to create your own custom menu for the reason of wanting to open a specific vault, the admin command works great and the custom-menu plugin you are using can be locked into already placing the %guild% placeholder for them to only be able to open theirs guilds vault.
I don't see the need to add further commands to open a specific vault since it already open a GUI for them to decide which one they want to open.
The difference between a click, and typing two extra characters is not that big time-wise to be work while, unless you are trying to macro it? Are you trying to macro it?
Having to install another plugin just to be able to access a specific vault quickly? Seems a bit inefficient
And people uses macros nowadays? What happened to good old typing?
But to use an analogy by someone else... "That's like saying you have to pay via cash, because while credit cards are convenient, installing a card machine is far more of a hassle than the convenience"
