Thanks @gadfort, now it works. Default: Removing fillers with default inflation: Removing fillers with increased inflation:
This design specifically seems to require more inflation even with the new removing filler feature. We could think of a way to dynamically modify the inflation values.
yes! I did not touch that part. I only replaced the part where we modify the target density for a function that reduces the number of fillers.
Yes, we still observe the three consecutive iterations without improvement in routability. I noticed that for this design, we see low area inflation values (around 1%). Increasing the inflation parameters...
Hi @stefanottili, I have been examining the internal rudy variables used during calculations for your first test case, with macros, and I couldn't find nothing unexpected. This is the test...
The difference between grt and rudy still look awkward. @eder-matheus, do you think this might be because of the die coordinates origin with negative values, from #5284 ? I see...
Hi, this error 302 was modified, now it is a warning. This error happened when the provided density was too low. Now gpl automatically modifies the density for the lowest...
The PLACE_DENSITY is used in gpl as the target density. The target density is an upper limit for the gpl bins. In practice the value is used for scaling the...
@oharboe I am not sure I understand your main concern, you would like to have a copy and paste suggestion for the core area?
I modified from pair to odb::Rect as requested, and triggered a secure-CI in: https://jenkins.openroad.tools/blue/organizations/jenkins/OpenROAD-flow-scripts-Private/detail/secure-gpl-debug-coloring/1/pipeline
