Mount fails, hangs on attempt to start on sshd

I installed Lil' Debi seemingly without a hitch. However, when I tried to start it, the startup hangs after this:

tcgetattr: Invalid argument
Starting OpenBSD Secure Shell server: sshd.

Can you run /debian/shell with superuser permissions? It should look like what you mention.
