Crossword keyboard loses some letters when typing

ISSUE

Entering an answer to a clue using the online crossword interface is difficult because if you type faster than around 1 letter per second it will not enter some letters in the grid.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a crossword on Chrome on Android, e.g. https://www.theguardian.com/crosswords/quick/15056#1-across
2. Click on a clue and start typing (e.g. 'gratitude') at a normal sort of speed.
