Max width of the Standfirst in Galleries

Gallery standfirst has a max-width (280px until tablet and 400px from tablet until desktop and 460px from desktop) in frontend as shown in below picture

But in AR the standfirst takes the whole centre column as shown below:

What would be preferred here?
