Just setup some scheduled transactions with proper due date, then re-start the app.
forgot to update here: to keep the application simple, scheduled notifications and exec share the same setting. we may need to polish the message in the future as you suggested.

hey @jorgeEF and @luisdev, please use the previous version as a quick fix if this change is annoying. This is still in WIP and might require more time to design...

https://github.com/moneymanagerex/android-money-manager-ex/pull/1737 will set default value as false.
this is a known issue, just leave password empty/blank is not encrypted
