This is not exclusive to vim. Running `top` also causes the cursor to stop blinking. As much as I agree the issue is with the apps themselves and Microsoft Terminal...

@powellchristoph do you still face this issue? If so, could you run terraform with TF_LOG=trace and check if you see errors before the invalid type error?

Please try to specify `http_method` and `expected_codes` for the monitor resource and see if the first attempt after the taint still fails.
