Small QR code generation not working on 'monaco' font in mac terminal

This is not only an issue with 'Monaco'. I could reproduce this with almost any monospaced font on my machine except 'Courier New'

It looks strange in the mac terminal, but displays well in iterm.

I am also using the same piece of code with 'small' flag and able to get QR code properly in gitbash but not in command prompt.
