Feature Request: Resizable text input box for pattern

Currently, with some of my larger, more complex patterns, I'm forced to scroll side to side on the one line chat window to edit my expression. This has the disadvantage of the entire expression not being visible.

At the least, I would like to have an option to hide the error alert in the right-hand side of the box because it blocks the cursor where I'm writing the expression and leaves the last 2-3 character not visible. I've attached a picture of the issue below:

This, and the ability to collapse Text or reduce its height (giving more space for the bottom pane) would actually be really nice.
