org mode navigation behaviour to be more consistent with markdown mode

Description

In markdown mode, you can

  • single tap on the top bar
  • get a TOC of all the headers in a popup
  • pick one and tap it
  • then click the "edit" icon (next to search icon)
  • and you get dropped into the editor at that header

This is very useful when editing long documents. The view mode is easier on the eyes so you can navigate in that, then drop down to the editor direct to the section you wanted to edit.

This does not happen in org mode. The very first step (single tap on top bar) fails to bring up a TOC.

I hesitated to call this a bug, because I really don't know if the internals support it. For all I know, since org mode was added later, it may have a totally different engine and this behaviour needs to be added to that. Or some other nuance I am not aware of.

todo.txt and Markdown have the most supported features. The rest was added by contributors who dont regulary contribute (anymore), hence yes only a subselection of features available in each format.

I work on a parser for MarkDown and AsciiDoc, that converts into the same elements. Maybe it also can be done for OrgMode. But it needs some time.
