KaTex: Dollars signs not displaying correctly
I am still having this problem that I mentioned in a Discussion back when version 2.9 was released.
When there is a just one $ on a line, it displays as it should. But if there is more than one on a line, something like...
Apples are normally $1.99 a pound, on sale today for the bargain price of $0.99
neither one displays in view mode.
Happens on all recent 2.9 and 2.10 versions, on Android 12 and 13, on a Motorola phone and Samsung tablet.
Do you have Math/KaTex enabled in Markor settings?

No, I don't
Do you have Math/KaTex enabled in Markor settings?
I meant to say that it wasn't clear to me if your question was meant to imply that it should be enabled.
I don't have it enabled because I thought that it was intended for those users that require complex mathematical formulas in their notes, and not people using $ for currency.
But, I decided to see what impact enabling it would have.
Here is a sample note in the editor:
In view mode with Math/KaTex unchecked:
In view mode with Math/Katex checked:
@fgtham As you did quite a lot of changes related to KaTex recently in Markor.. Do you have an idea about this? It sounds like an issue with the KaTex auto rendering to me
With Math/KaTeX unchecked, I have no idea why the dollar signs are not displayed.
With Math/Katex checked, this is expected KaTeX behaviour. It interprets everything between two dollar signs as inline math.
In both cases (Math checked and unchecked in settings) it can be fixed by escaping the dollar signs: Apples \$1.99, on sale for \$0.99 should render correctly.
KaTex was updated here, a test APK can be downloaded there to check if it works better. (Don't forget to check if Math is enabled/disabled accordingly in settings)
Apologies for the delay in responding; have been away for a while.
I did try that test version. Unfortunately dollar signs still aren't working properly. If there is more than one on the same line, neither displays.
Math is not enabled.
