FR: Connect over secure protocol

the pod I'm on diasp.org offers the optipn to connect over i2p http://diasporg.i2p and over Tor hidden service http://diasporg5tj4xz5mxkd5qnrppo7tbb6ynk2gtmjw5lmz6mtbesj3k6id.onion

I tried adjusting the proxy to correct local host and port and setting my pod address to corresponding with no.successful connection

Is the proxy you configured actually a HTTP proxy or something else? Also note that you can't mix i2p/tor networks/services.

• Also note that you can't mix i2p/tor networks/services. I am aware. DIasporg supports both so I tried once setting the http proxy to 127.0.0.1:6668 and my pod address to diasporg.i2p. A different time I removed proxy, ran Orbot Tor VPN and set my pod to diasporg5tj4xz5mxkd5qnrppo7tbb6ynk2gtmjw5lmz6mtbesj3k6id.onion. The same URLs allow me to access the web interface for the pod I am on in the similarly configured web browser.
