Reconnect when coming out of doze
A lot of times after my phone comes out of doze it doesn't detect any internet connection and I have to swipe the app from recent and reopen it
I have this issue occasionally too. I think it's something to do with the app getting moved out of memory and getting a full restart.
What kind of phone do you have?
I have a Nexus 5 running the latest AOSPA
My backup phone, an HTC m8 with 2GBs ram, has the same problem. I have a good idea where the issue is. I'll include the fix in the next release.

I've had plans to keep Chanu going as long as possible. I know there are a few minor bugs but if something major breaks like the API changes, I'll fix it.
I made some changes that might fix this network time out problem. I'm hoping it's like a permission problem that stops the app from knowing if its on a mobile network or on wifi.

Alright you want me to let the OS enter doze on its own or is it alright to force it?
It shouldn't matter either way. I think the problem is related to the app getting unloaded from memory and not being able to successfully started again.
Just tested it still says network offline
Lame. I have another idea but it's going to take a lot of work.
Four months later... I haven't forgotten about this but life is always gets busy.
I'm rolling a few updates into one request pull.
Been awhile I actually got a new-ish phone but if you need me to test on the same one I do still have the Nexus 5 here
