Mission: Impossible [PAL, SLES-01906] either crashes or skips levels entirely
Describe the bug
While testing the game Mission: Impossible on its PAL release, I found out that it is impossible to enter a level.
- If you use OpenBIOS, the game will crash after pressing the X button at a loading screen.
- If you use an original BIOS (mine was SCPH-7502), the game will simply skip the entire level and show a "LEVEL COMPLETE" screen.
Using CPU DynaRec mode and OpenBios will cause an error to appear on the emulator. Disabling this feature will simply not show any errors.
Expected behavior
The level should appear on screen and the game should be playable, instead of just a sequence of menus.
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Start the game.
- (Optional?) Select a language by going into Options -> Language. I chose Spanish.
- Go to New Game, choose any difficulty (I chose Possible), skip the menus, skip the videos, wait for the loading screen.
- When the loading process is completed, press X to continue and crash/skip the level.
