Idea: Adopt Arch. Decision Records for documentation & communication

Looking at shadow-jam I thought it would be awesome to see what are the basic technologies picked for it and understand why they were chosen (and what alternatives were considered and, on what grounds, rejected) (See Relevance's Documenting Architecture Decisions). This would be useful both for me who wants to understand it better and for future contributors (as well for changing some of the decision in the future when the context changes).

It might seem as unnecessary work but I believe it might prove really valuable :)
