Work/Home Profile proper slot selection

Acknowledgments Please check the following boxes with an x if they apply:

  • [x] The feature I want to propose would be useful for the majority of users, not only for me personally.
  • [x] I am aware that Transportr is mostly developed by one person in their unpaid spare time.
  • [x] I can help myself to get this feature implemented or know someone who wants to do it.
  • [ ] If I want to add support for a new region or country, I checked that this is already available in public-transport-enabler and know the process described on the Transportr homepage.

When you start the routeplanner, where you can enter start and destination, the Home and Work Locations only fill into the Destination slot. I think it would be better if it would fill into the currently selected slot, or Home->Start; Work->Destination.

Sorry, I disagree here. And even if I would agree, changing it now would be very confusing for existing users.

Could you explain why you disagree?

I often find myself wanting to find a way from my work to home (or vice versa) and replacing my destination with the wrong one.

Can you explain your reasoning so that i can understand the idea behind the current behaviour?

You have the Home/Work options also when the app starts and there's no Start/Destination on this screen. Locations you enter or click there are always where you want to go to. When on the Directions form with Start/Destination inputs, you change selection by clicking the input. When you do this, a popup shows up where you can select Home/Work as well. The From location is also pre-filled with the current position if available.

There are alternatives, for sure, and other ways to achieve a need. But it's very intuitive to choose a marker from below to be the From point, even more taking into account that it works without problem in the To side.

I see no inconvenient, further than the code work, in putting the choosed marker on the current side (From/To) where the cursor is in.
