Add ChangeLog to the repo
Version 2.0.0 has no changelog and commented that it will no longer be maintained and that you should consult the "git log". However, they are records with different purposes. It makes even more sense to keep the changelog when we think of installations coming from the repository of the distributions that provide the changelog to users. Here are some good references on the importance of the changelog [1] [2].

part of this is me being lazy, other part me don't really knowing where html2text would go
Today, I know there's a couple of glitches, but I'm very happy with it as rendering for html email, much better than other alternatives I've used in the past. Perhaps it's not a bad idea to make a more serious attempt at creating a proper package here.
You can't call it lazy. The fact that you resumed the development of html2text is fantastic. Soon I will release version 2.0.0 in the Debian repositories and possibly we will have more people collaborating. Thanks.
I think adding a changelog is fine (I'm just swamped with other stuff at the moment, so I'd like to keep the issue open as a reminder)
meh, I don't think this is going to happen, contributions welcome, but git log is very complete.
A git log is not the same as a changelog. You should keep a changelog.
Let's scratch the lazyness then
