early boot: mount: mounting efivarfs on /sys/firmware/efi/efivars failed: No such device

During early boot (between "Loading, please wait...") and the GRML logo this error can be seen:

mount: mounting efivarfs on /sys/firmware/efi/efivars failed: No such device

Seen on grml-small-arm64 d20250820b438 Release Codename daily20250820build438unstable.

I assume this is the same problem as https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1110729 / https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1114521

Not sure it matters at lot.
