NearDrop not appearing in share menu on Mac
I tried sharing files from the finder, but NearDrop isn't appearing in the share menu on Mac. I'm nether getting the option to add it in the menu. I'm on MacOS Sonoma, if that matters.

Exact Same behavior on Ventura 13.4.1.
@grishka Is there some suggested way to figure out why this is not appearing? I tried to build mine using xcode and that too has same issue (on another thread you mentioned you got similar problems initially but later was resolved though finder restart, tried that doesn't work for me, including system reboot)
@kingster can you share the thread that you are referring to?
go to settings and search for extensions , there you will see nearDrop in sharing section and the enable it. After that you will see it in share section
You should enable NearDrop sharing extension in Settings > Privacy & Security > Extensions > Added extensions.
I am also not seeing it. I tried looking at the extensions setting above, but it doesn't show the NearDrop in the lost for adding. Not sure what I could be doing wrong.
@scolapasta that's how it looks on my machine
Yup, not in mine:
Could it be related to how I installed it? I just downloaded the zip and unzipped in a subfolder of Applications.
@scolapasta
I've installed it via brew.
I am also not seeing it. Used brew as well for installtion
You have to exit the menu and reopen it manually. It's a macOS bug that it for some reason doesn't show 3rd party apps when opened via the "edit extensions" button.
Hi, I have another issue like this.
I can not share the files via neardrop on photos app.
There is no issue on finder. I can share via neardrop on Finder.
Is it normal I can not use neardrop on Photos ??
Same issue -- not seeing it.
Also installed via brew
SOLVEd mine! I deleted neardrop and reinstalled it with the zip, than i was able to add it as an extension. Sadly it doesnt seem to work with QuickShare, i can send TO my Mac using quickshare tho
Just installed the newest release 2.0.2 via zip file and the extension is not present on the settings menu of my MAC. I'm running Sonoma.
I don't even have the "Added Extensions" option
