I can't open notifications and take me out of app

notifications fix has been submitted but not accepted yet. creating room will need alot of work to be done, so be patient. wait for the devs.

If you don't like it then wait for the official one and stop posting comments like these on this forum. If you want to help in building the app then feel free to do so but stop whining like kids and either accept this app or wait for the official one

it is not the change in HC API, the version you are referring doesn't include the fix.
