[Feature Request] Screenshot of entire scene, not just individual source

Open EricaNebula opened this issue 4 months ago • 1 comments

The main thing I use obs-cmd for is to have a global screenshot button on Wayland. It works great for that, so thank you very much! There is one thing missing, though:

In OBS Studio you can right click on any individual source and click "Screenshot (Source)" but you can also right click on the preview output and click "Screenshot (Preview)" and get everything that is currently visible in the scene.

Is it possible to add an option to do "Screenshot (Preview)" through obs-cmd? Sometimes I have other sources visible in the scene that I'd like to capture in my screenshots. Thanks!

I don't know if it is exposed via api, i noticed there are issues to refer sources nested in groups

Please check the latest version, reopen if you still have this issue

Forgive me but I don't actually see anything in the recent commits or the help menus that mentions saving screenshots of the entire scene instead of just a single source.

Did you maybe close this one by mistake? Or did I just miss the change somewhere?

I reimplemented i lot of features, are you sure what you ask is possible to do with the official obs protocol? https://raw.githubusercontent.com/obsproject/obs-websocket/master/docs/generated/protocol.md and how do expect to use the cli to call it?

Oh I see. I would need to request it upstream with obs-websocket first. Thanks. Sorry for the confusion!
