mismatch between advanced search and leaderboard counts for organizations

The organization leaderboards say 2483 submissions by WashU users but when I use the advanced search to look for "any" Submitter organization is WashU or MGI, I only get 2268. My advanced search: https://civicdb.org/search/evidence/e3eb791d-5289-48f8-9739-43eb5f93dd6f

Even if submissions includes Assertions, these numbers don't add up. Since these numbers are always changing, I'm including screenshots from today.
