@nmayorov Many thanks for your reply. The Fortran version of Radau5 does include a mass matrix capability so the algorithm is available. Including a 'mass matrix' option to the scipy...
The system closed this issue and attributed the closure to me - some how I mistakenly hit the wrong button :-(.
