MetaZ renders some files unplayable

I added some metadata to a set of mp4s, after which they would no longer play in VLC, iTunes, or Finder preview. The original file plays fine. I've been able to repeat this consistently. The affected files all come from the same source. Files from other sources do not seem to be affected.

Try the iDentity app. I've found it can sometimes handle what MetaZ can't. [http://identify2.arrmihardies.com/]

I'm experiencing similar issues and another one which I think is related. Trying popular mp4 files with the duplication taking 10 minutes or more on a single file. The file system grinds to a halt on that drive. Everything else seems normal just the process is running at 1/1000 speed. I've even used Handbrake to "translate" the file with similar results adding the new metadata.
