can a clickable fringe icon be added?

For code browsing, sometimes it's useful to have a visual (and interactive) folding indicator in the fringe, such as that described here: http://emacs.stackexchange.com/questions/112/actionable-code-folding-in-emacs-fringe

Would be a great addition to origami, I think :)
