The following forms cannot derive from ambigenus, -a, -um nor from ambigens, -entis. If there is no explanation for them, they should be removed from the word lists.

The word ambigenus is a compound (ambi + genus). The liturgical hyphenation should be am-bi-ge-nus rather than amb-i-ge-nus.
The following words are not compounds. The should be hyphenated according to the general rules.
- Ambianensis (adjective for a Gallic people, cf. ThLL 1, col. 1837, line 18)
- Ambituorum, Ambituis, Ambituos (inflected forms of Ambitui, a people in Galatia)
