Support for Linux

I would like to see Greenshot support Linux as I am a Linux user and this software is very handy on Windows but it is unfortunate that you guys don't support Linux.

Hey, you might want to take a look at the discussions in:

  • also #114

I also think feature requests like this one belong in JIRA:

This GitHub repository is for developers, if you want to request a feature for Greenshot as a user please do so in our JIRA issue system here: https://greenshot.atlassian.net/projects/FEATURE/issues/filter=allopenissues

I really like Flameshot, but it's really lacking in intuitiveness and doesn't have the editor, which is really a shining feature of Greenshot.

Adding my support here for Linux!

I know it's not what you are requesting, but I did manage to make the coming Greenshot 1.3 a lot more wine friendly, so I have been able to use it for some of the basics and will continue to make the experience a bit more friendly.

The downside is that I find it annoying to install Wine in such a way that it works with Greenshot... The .NET installations are very very slow, even on my fairly powerful laptop.

winetricks dotnet35 is probably the best way. Making fullscreen screenshots and editing them in the editor seems to work for me.
