Allow overriding commit messages

I use more traditional commit messages so the chore(package): is annoying and creates ugly inconsistencies in my commit history.

Same issue here! We use a strict commit standard and enforce it with Commitlint. Some of the projects are not allowed to use scopes, which makes every greenkeeper update fail. It would be great if we can override the commit messages, just like the others. 😁

It has been 377 days without any response, so far. This is something that could be implemented fairly easy right? If help is wanted, I can make some time available.

I'll try and create a PR matching the message-functionality from the original/root Greenkeeper repository. If this is something undesired, let me know, else I will go for it 😄

That's for the Greenkeeper service itself, not this CLI application

ah, got it. sorry for the noise.

No worries! 😄 I'm already using the custom messages in the link you posted. But this doesn't include the messages for lock file updates. Which kind of makes it a bit frustrating.
