[BUG] Simple keybindings don't work with capslock on

Open inssein opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug I upgraded to the latest version and got complaints from some users that hotkeys no longer work. However, it seems like those users just had capslock on.

How are you using react hotkeys components? (HotKeys, GlobalHotKeys, IgnoreKeys etc) GlobalHotKeys

Expected behavior A handler for e should work regardless of capslock (like the previous version).

Platform (please complete the following information):

  • react-hotkeys -> latest
  • chrome
  • Mac

Are you willing and able to create a PR request to fix this issue? Yes, can look into it.

Same problem here, even if I listen to uppercase keys.

I noticed a strange behavior, if my capslock is already active when I focus on the tab, my shortcuts work but if turn my capslock on when I'm on the page, they don't work anymore.

Hmm, Capslock has always been a bit tricky, @inssein.

This will need looking into.
