What would you like to know?

hackrf_info version 2024.02.1 libhackrf version: 2024.02.1 (0.9) Bricked hackrf during firmware update, would like to restore using dfu utils. any help gratefully accepted

The hackrf_info command doesn't list DFU devices, this is normal.

You can follow the instructions in the documentation to load the firmware into RAM with dfu-util.

Once you've done so then the device should be listed will in hackrf_info with the serial number RunningFromRAM. Then you can use hackrf_spiflash to write the firmware to flash.

Where did I lose you?

Had the flash process succeeded, I'd be fine. But it wasn't found, hence my questions. However, I'm getting a more knowledgeable friend to do the job for me, at least I'll know if it is firmly bricked or not. thx

Your title says that it shows in lsusb, so it's not bricked.
