Void Linux recently packaged in Xfce 4.20: Screenshot_2024-12-19_04-41-06

So far nothing in the theme seems particularly broken but I noticed this strangeness coming out of Xfce's panel: strangepanelicons

Not sure what to think on this one... I am running the latest git clone of the theme. (as of writing it's https://github.com/grassmunk/Chicago95/commit/f7ab895ae538335af3bffd500347d5500ffdb69b)

how did you get it on void? I'm on void too and new to the package manager, I'm missing this package. how did you get it? ↓↓↓ gtk2-engines-pixbuf

I'm not sure I understand the question; I just manually installed the theme according to where you're supposed to put these things system wide. The theme worked perfectly fine up until the latest release of Xfce itself. (this isn't even the first time a update to something in Xfce has messed with this theme before either!)

I should add though: The correct icons show up on the window decorations just not in the "task bar" of the Xfce panel.

I'll just add another data-point. I have the same issue on Fedora 42 with XFCE 4.20. It looks like a more high-res icons are used:

I think it's not a Chicago95 specific issue, as it happens with other themes as well. It's just more pronounced with "pixel-art" icon themes:

↑ Mint X icon theme

Edit: I think it's this issue.
