I recently switched from Debian Stable to Debian Sid and after doing an update and upgrade, the PC restarted and I noticed that my desktop icons looked slightly different.

Typically the "box" around the text is much bigger.

My system tray on the panel has a strange boxy effect on it.

And Thunar file explorer looks a little flat now on the bracket (I think it's called?)

Not a huge deal, but I've tried whatever I could to fix the issue, because it doesn't seem like anyone else is experiencing it. Is there anyway to fix this? I can't quite figure it out. Thank you for your time!

Have you tried updating Chicago95 by cloning the git repo and re-running the install script (assuming you don't install it via the package)? I also had weird stuff happen once after the XFCE 4.16 to 4.18 update. It turned out all the issues had been fixed in an update to Chicago95, so I reinstalled the latest version of the theme and it's back to it's former glory.
