Sans Serif fonts broken

After following the instructions in INSTALL.md I am unable to get the classic fonts working. OS: Ubuntu 20.04 XFCE Version: 4.14

The fonts were taken from Windows 10 and the .fon was converted with FontForge as outlined in instructions. Not sure why this is breaking, is newer XFCE incompatible?

You could try enabling hinting and relogging, perhaps use font size 8?

Here's what I did Turn off Enable anti-aliasing, and change Hinting: to slight.

Logoff, relogin and that fixed everything for me.
