[BUG] Why is `pairplot` different for with labels and without?

Expected Behavior

A pairplot should produce a similar output, agnostic of whether or not labels are provided.

Actual Behavior

If no labels are provided, you get a histogram; if labels are provided, you get a KDE. These seems a bit odd/an unnecessary place to have a difference in behavior.
