Node highlighting instead of shadow for same nodes

Currently, same nodes in a graph are highlighted using a shadow line connecting them. A user just suggested to use highlighting and/or symbols instead, ie., add a symbol to a node that shows that the node also occurs elsewhere and highlight all same nodes when hovering over a node.
