Faust vsti for OSX through online IDE generating effect instead of instrument

I tried about 4 times now to export a vsti for mac, was hoping to do an audio unit but currently I don't see that available on the dropdown. its a polyphonic synth instrument for testing, and currently both vsti and vst appear to output an effect that loads in ableton in a way that is not playable by a keyboard/MIDI.

that "Drop Instrument Here" is where the instrument should show up after dragging to the midi instrument, but it comes up in the effects slot.
