Fix Alex Model Not Rendering Backpack

Open Reio911 opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, I recently started playing FTB Beyond and really got excited about these new backpacks, but they don't render on me. I see them on everyone else who wears them except me.

Issue Description:

Backpacks do not ever render on my Character, but are properly rendered on other players.

What happens:

Upon equipping a backpack (pressing V default) it is equipped and functions normally, but does not render on my character.

What you expected to happen:

A backpack should render visually on my characters back.

Steps to reproduce (important):

  1. Enter third person.
  2. Hold a backpack
  3. Equip any backpack using the keybind

Affected Versions (Do not use "latest"):

FTB Beyond 1.2.1

  • IronBackpacks: 2.2.23
  • Minecraft: 1.10.2
  • Forge: 12.18.3.2254
  • Other Conflicting Mods : None known, tested it alone and had the same issue. Tested alone using IronBackpacks: 2.2.25 Had same issue.

Sorry, I've been crazy busy with other things lately; I didn't mean to ignore this.

Is your character model a skinny/Alex style one? Also, did you close the issue because you resolved it, or for some other reason? Either way, I'd like to know.

Thanks!

The model I am using is indeed the skinny Alex one.

The issue never was resolved, I closed it because I am done playing for now.

Alright, thanks.

It's a known bug that it doesn't render for the skinny model, but this is a good incentive to look at it again and try and figure out why. I'm going to reopen the issue, even though I probably won't get around to it for some time.

Alright glad to hear back from you! And glad to finally know what the issue was.
