500 - Internal server error.
For a week that I've been trying to access Gpodder.net and I always see this error:
500 - Internal server error. The service is currently overloaded. Please try again later or contact us.
I tried it both through the Antennapod application and through the website. The same mistake always appears.
any news or comment?
This has been happening for quite awhile (months at least) and I'm not aware of any response from the maintainers that address this. In the meantime, I've decided to just self host using Docker. It's still pretty rough and there isn't any documentation for it yet, but you're welcome to use it: https://codeberg.org/atomdmac/mygpo-docker
The 500 Internal Server Error is still present which basically blocks login
The 500 server error problems have been around for close to two years at least. I ended up fixing several issues with the project in a fork about a year and a half ago. I was running a public instance of a fork for a while but I was no longer able to fund it myself.
I've had the same problem for at least a year. Kinda sad
Is this just dead then...? Would love to use the service. Such a disappointment.
It actually worked for a short while, but it seems like the 500 Internal Server Error is back
Still happening, can't create a new account.
Still happening, can't create a new account.
@Ryochan7 was that really necessary?
So, any news?
Still happening. Any updates?
I think gpodder is discontinued. If it doesn't function in basic steps and dev seems to be oblivious to it, then it is dead. I have already shifted to pocketcast as alternatives few years ago and currently checking out podbean as secondary alternative. Both are good and suits my requirements. If gpodder had google or onedrive or pcloud backup option like notes apps have, it would still be usable.

Note that another option for those with a Nextcloud server is to use the GPodder Sync Nextcloud app, which is API-compatible and so can be used with GPodder clients.
It would be okay to notify to download user data before killing it off, I think, but currently I'm not sure what I'm subscribed to.
Wow, today I can login! I downloaded all my subscriptions via "Download OPML" button in https://gpodder.net/subscriptions/. But I do not know the way to download my activity like played episodes :(
