Using gpodder 2.20 in Windows 10 to sync podcasts to my iPod Nano 3rd Gen

Hi, I've been looking for an alternative to iTunes because iTunes has just not been working, and I don't want to devote my life to getting it working. I just found about gPodder today. First I installed the latest version, but it didn't detect my iPod. After some searching, I found a comment on a blog post from someone saying they use gPodder 2.20 because they have an iPod Nano (which is what I have). So I uninstalled the recent version of gPodder and downloaded v. 2.20. Under Preferences > Devices, I selected Device type: iPod and Mountpoint: D:\ . When I tried to sync, I got the message, "Cannot sync to iPod. Please install python-gpod and restart gPodder." But I don't know how to do that on Windows 10. What I find on the internet appears to be aimed at Debian and other Linux users. Can anyone help? Thanks.
