Syncing between devices doesn't work
I am not sure if this is a bug or if I missunderstood something. I created a new device using the web ui and synced it with an exisiting device. I expected that all subscriptions of the existing device would be added to the new device automatically, but that didn't happen. Using the "Trigger sync" button also changed nothing.
I have the same issue, I was able to do the same thing in the past and it's not working anymore. From the doc it looks like this is the way to go, is something broken ? http://gpoddernet.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user/index.html#synchronizing-devices
Update: one has to be patient, and today was not my day. After about 15-20 minutes, the new device was showing the sync-ed subscriptions.
I think it works.. it just takes hours to work.
Did it before sleep... they synced only recently.
Would love to see this addressed. I'm trying to build an integration for Mycroft and, hours later, subscriptions aren't syncing with the new "mycroft" device I created. I guess I can have users select an existing device, but it's annoying that a triggered sync doesn't happen more quickly.
Hi folks, I'm upping that post, as I've been unsuccessfully trying to sync a new device with my existing ones for a week now. This includes triggering the sync multiple times and waiting hours or days, deleting the device and recreating a new one.
Is there a simple way to monitor whether the celery tasks are succeeding or failing ?

It's not working for me as well (after almost a day). Is there a workaround?
//edit
I've manually downloaded opml from one device and imported to the other one
Running gpodder on 2 Linux laptops and an Android phone. Not seeing any syncage. So going the import opml route like @hovancik .
Mine was not syncing at all even after a week. I tried downloading the opml and then importing it into the other device and after that the sync started working.
I tried syncing using the trigger sync
function on web, and I get a 504
timeout...
Not syncing for me on the web interface. Pressed the trigger button and waited for a day.
My problem seems to have been that I was blocking scripts with uBlock origin. When I disabled uBlock origin for gpodder.net, clicking "Trigger Sync" populated the podcast list on my new device immediately.
