Account registration email not getting sent

I can't register an account on gpodder, I've tried with a Gmail and a mail.ru address, and for neither of them did I receive any activation email across any folders including spam and trash.

The same for me. I have used an E-Mail that needs TLS for security reasons. django per default does not send emails over TLS. It has to be activated through https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/2.2/ref/settings/#email-use-tls in the settings (I expect here?) Would be nice if that setting is added. I've also tried an unsecure email on the gmx.de mail provider. That worked just fine. So it's maybe an issue of mail providers expect emails send over TLS.

I've also signed up to gpodder and not received an activation email - is there a site admin who can activate my account for me?
