Sony-ILCE-7M4: No files listed

Hi I have a Sony Alpha 7 M4 that I'm trying to access via ptpip. I'm trying to list the images I've captured on it but gphoto2 claims to find no pictures on the device, when there definitely are pictures on there.

I'm attaching a debug log with gphoto2/libgphoto2 built from latest git.

Sony separates "PC remote control" and "media access" into separate modes. There appears to be a way on some cameras for the host PC to switch modes, but as that is present only on the new Sony SDK which only supports a limited subset of cameras, that mode transition magic has not been reverse engineered by someone with a USB sniffer yet.
