Animal/Human eye detect

First of all, awesome suite of software!

For fun I'm creating my own trail cam using a raspberry pi b, motion sensor and Canon R7. The R7 has animal/human eye detection and I'd like the camera to engage the tracking and take a shot/shots when lock is achieved. My camera is setup with dual back button focus. AF-On wide area zone with eye tracking enabled, * is traditional spot focus.

Any ideas on how to make this happen?
