Canon EOS M100: will not connect via USB with more than 10K image files on SD card

A clear and concise description of what the bug is. Camera prevent USB connection with onscreeen error "Communication Error" if there are more than 10,000 image files on the internal SD card

Name the camera If this is camera specific, include the camera name as shown by gphoto2 --auto-detect or USB IDs Canon EOS M100 FW 1.0.0

libgphoto2 and gphoto2 version output of: gphoto2 --version N/A

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour: Take 10,000 captures with the camera, Attempt to connect via USB to computer, "Communication Error" should appear onscreen almost immediately at startup. To resolve, unplug USB cable and delete files till under 10,000 or reformat SD card (tested both these, reformat in-camera)

If its a camera misbehavior, attach debug output using --debug --debug-logfile=debug.log (if considered useful).
