Error with capture and upload long exposure

I am using a scrip to set ev config an capture an image. I am using an raspi cam and raspistill to capture an image and check how bright it is.

During the Day light it is working just fine but at night when the shutterspeed goes up it reports an error.

ERROR: Could not capture image ERROR: Could not capture

I am using a Canon 1100D
