Bulb on Nikon D3100

Describe the bug

Hello! I haven't remote control, but I thought I could make a workaround with my laptop, but I found strange behavior.

I can't set the bulb.

To Reproduce

  1. Check /main/capturesettings/shutterspeed and find
Choice: 51 30,0000s
Choice: 52 Bulb
  1. Set it gphoto2 --set-config /main/capturesettings/shutterspeed=52
  2. Read an error
*** Error ***
The property 'Shutter Speed' / 0x500d was not set (0xa008: Shutter Speed Bulb)

is the camera mode currently one that supports bulb, like e.g. TV, AV or M? (not sure if AUto or P support it)

I used it only in Manual mode. And another modes aren't need me.
