gphoto2 --get-all-files but exclude files by pattern

Little Backup Box (also GitHub) uses gphoto2 to backup from camera by gphoto2 --get-all-files A user requested the possibility to exclude file types by pattern like "*.xyz".

I couldn't find (but hoped for) an option like --exclude *.xyz

Of course I could get the file list first and download file by file but I expect to loose a lot of speed this way.
