Canon MLU ( mirror lock up ) state

Hi, I'am trying to find a way to detect the current state of the mirror for Canon cameras, I searched and tried a lot of thing but couldn't figure it out.

I use mirror lock up on Canon but need a way to find if the mirror is up or down, I listed all camera config but couldn't find any difference between --list-all-config with the mirror down and mirror up :(

Maybe setting a config option and expecting an error if the mirror is UP may be a solution ? I tried a lot of config options but really nothing trigger an error or any different behavior that could point to mirror state.
