--conservative mode results different to -t -c 1.5 -f 0.05

Hello When I run --conservative mode I get very different results to when I run -t -c 1.5 -f 0.05 even though the manual says its the same. eg. my code stringtie in.bam -G ref.gtf -o out.gtf -v -L --conservative results in 159,483 transcripts While stringtie in.bam -G ref.gtf -o out.gtf -v -L -t -c 1.5 -f 0.05 results in 167,139 transcripts

Is there something else conservative mode is doing? Or am I running it incorrectly?
