"See more" link in search results implies all Congress

Open GPHemsley opened this issue 12 years ago • 4 comments

When you search for something and get a list of possibly-related bills (sorted descendingly by Congress), they are followed by a link that says "See more". This implies that you will see a list of all bills that match the search term—in all Congresses. However, the search results that you actually get are only in the current Congress, even though those results were likely all already shown on the previous page (or should have been).

You mean "Show More Results" on the search pages?

To sidestep the issue, I've just changed it so that it automatically loads more results when you get to the bottom of the page.

The results are always according to the filters on the right side of the page, so the behavior is unchanged.

No, I'm talking about the basic search page, where you do a generic search which could apply to bills, MoCs, committees, etc. The bill section ends with a "See More" link which goes to the advanced search that only applies to bills. But instead of showing bills from all Congresses, like the previous page, it only shows bills from the current Congress.
